Repair your 7DT45 and 7DT70 Porsche PDK transmission with our 0-Failure PDK Distance Sensor instead of buying a new one!
Developed and manufactured by us - BOTONG AUTO ELECTRONICS, a company with over 30 years of experience in automotive parts development and transmission repair, our 0-Failure PDK distance sensor/position (speed) sensor/shift fork position sensor/displacement sensor provides a reliable component-level repair solution for Porsche PDK 7DT45 7DT70 gearboxes.
Application:
Porsche 911 (997, 991, 992, GT3, GT3RS)
Porsche Boxster / Cayman (987, 981, 718, 982)
Function:
The sensor reports the positions of all four shift rods to the PDK transmission control unit (TCU). Sensor failure prevents correct gear recognition and shift execution.
Typical Fault Symptoms:
Vehicle undrivable or in limp mode
“Gearbox fault…” message
Stuck in gear / unable to drive after stopping
Fault Codes / Diagnosis:
OBD fault codes: p1731, p1732, p1733, p1734, p1735, p1736, p1737, p1738, p17dx (often with secondary faults)
OBD description: “Shift rod N displacement sensor”
Workshop diagnosis: PDK distance / position sensor failure
Previously, these faults often required full PDK transmission replacement.
This 0-Failure sensor allows direct sensor replacement only.
Design & Technical Notes:
LVDT technology (OEM-style architecture, enhanced reliability)
Brand-new part, not salvaged or refurbished
Integrated distance + speed sensor
PIWIS Tester 3 calibration supported
Replaces Porsche PN: 0501325775 / 0501327105 / 0501324703
Compatible with 7DT45 & 7DT70 PDK gearboxes
Why buy from us?
Our LVDT (Porsche OEM ) VS Hall-based Solution (Commonly found on the market)
Uses the same LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) technology as Porsche OEM, rather than Hall-based solutions that rely on algorithmic linearity compensation
True physical linearity determined by sensor structure, not software correction (Hall sensors need software to achieve linearity)
High-temperature stability and long-term signal consistency (Hall sensors are more affected by temperature and aging)
No reliance on complex algorithms, ensuring predictable and stable output (Hall sensors rely on algorithmic compensation)
Automatically adapts to gearbox wear, further improving stability (Hall sensors cannot adapt)
Optimized for closed-loop precision control of PDK clutch and shift fork positions (Hall sensors are less precise and less predictable for closed-loop control)
Why we use Heat Resistant Nylon material?
Many customers may wonder why we use a heat-resistant nylon material instead of the typical metal material used in most market alternatives. We use specific PA66-30 heat-resistant nylon, an upgraded technology that reduces the influence of traditional metal housings on the inductive coil, further enhancing stability, precision, and durability.
Important Reminder!
When installing the shift displacement sensor, ensure the shift fork is set to the Neutral (N) position.
